What Is a Traffic Management Plan?

A Traffic Management Plan is a document that describes how traffic — including vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians — will be managed during a construction project or special event. It outlines the measures that will be taken to maintain safe, efficient traffic movement while protecting workers and the public.

TMPs are required by municipalities, WorkSafeBC, and the Ministry of Transportation for most projects on public roads in British Columbia.
